Our hiring process is the first glimpse into our culture, and we want it to be a positive experience, regardless of the outcome. Recognizing that interviews can be stressful, we hope that removing any secrecy shrouding the process will help ease your nerves, allowing for more genuine and candid conversations. With that in mind, we’ve broken down the process into concrete steps.
If the hiring team believes your skill set and experience listed on your resume match the qualifications for the job you’ve applied for, you’ll enter our hiring process. While it may differ slightly for different roles or teams, the same basics apply. Below are some of the ways we assess candidates in our hiring process and tips to help you thoughtfully prepare:
Before in-depth interviews, you’ll typically have a short 20 to 30-minute conversation with our People Operations Department over the phone or via video. These are designed to assess essential skills needed for the role, identify the most important attributes, and discuss your compensation expectations.
We conduct interviews using the following guiding principles:
Depending on the role, you may be asked to take a brief online assessment, such as Excel. We will give you plenty of advance notice.
Our seven Core Values represent the company’s heart and are principles that guide everything we do. They help to create a repeatable and scalable system that allows people to make good decisions on their own by simply applying the values to new challenges that come along.
These are the foundations of our lives both personally and professionally. We trust our employees with the success of our clients as well as our company. Doing what is ethical and right is inherent in our firm’s fiber. Without this we fail.
These are two words that describe us. Our team is fully committed to ensuring our clients’ success and seeing our projects to fruition. We celebrate the victories and learn from the losses. We don’t look for blame – we look for solutions. As the saying goes, there is no “i” in team, but there is an “i” in passion, commitment, and family.
We are collectively what we do individually, which is why working together is so important to us. It’s exciting to see how an individual’s talent can emerge and flourish in an environment where they are nurtured and supported. We believe that there is no greater sense of pride than when good is achieved as a team member rather than an individual.
These are words that echo the sentiment that we care about people and the success of our employees and our clients. As a member of our team, you are empowered to make decisions, you are trusted to do the right thing, and provided with a degree of autonomy that allows for creativity and growth.
Taking a holistic approach, our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is a fundamental part of our People strategy. Every aspect of it helps connect employees to our mission, vision, values, and culture while inspiring loyalty and engagement.
