Valerie Bigler has over 15 years of real estate and facilities management experience. Many of her strengths are in energy management, project management, contract negotiation, budget administration, procedure creation, and process improvement. She also has extensive experience in labor relations and business operations. Valerie currently serves as Senior Facility Manager for IRG Realty Advisors overseeing facilities with revenues in excess of $600,000. She is charged with the overall execution plan for these facilities to include full-site facility management of a Fortune 100 company’s 5M square feet corporate campus with budgets exceeding $20M annually.
Valerie and her team are expanding the services provided, helping to make their current client successful in their core business. She supports capital planning and leads projects in excess of $5M annually while performing energy management, managing and leading a diverse staff and implementing best practices for the facilities. In addition, she leads client-contractor teams to create and implement best practices within the combined team. She also, as a member of the IRG Realty Advisors Leadership Team, assists in creating and implementing policies and procedures for the corporation.
Career Overview
Prior to her current role, Valerie was the Facility and Operations Manager for Lockheed Martin where she oversaw commercial properties with over 1M square feet and budgets in excess of $30M. Lockheed Martin increasingly looked to Valerie to manage multiple functions within their operations which included their transition from owner to tenant with the facility changes required to make that transition. Her leadership and breadth of knowledge across a wide variety of functional and operational arenas made her contributions integral to a successful transition. During that time, she drove substantial expense reductions and developed strategic key relationships which led to a healthy ongoing relationship between the parties that enabled IRG to gain an increasing portion of site improvement activities on behalf of Lockheed Martin.
